About

Welcome to the Studio H Artist Residency

I am a visual artist in Metchosin, BC Canada and I invite artists from Canada and around the world to come here and create new work in a beautiful, serene, collaborative and creative environment.

Artists working in all media are welcome to participate.  What is important to me is that you find a connection to this place as a source of inspiration, to yourself as an artist, whatever that may entail, and that together we make a creative connection. I am interested in creative collaborations and building relationships and networks.  Hopefully, we will do some work together, maybe create some exhibitions, and you will also create your own new work.

I encourage you to do as Miyoko Caubet, our 1st Artist in Residence has done. Research my work at www.studioproductions.com and these pages, and if you find a connection there, contact me.

How it works

This being the first artist in residency is going to teach us a lot.  Right now it works like this: fill out the form below or send me an email with your interests and why you want to do this. We Skype and talk on the phone.  We agree on timing.  You come here and stay in our spare bedroom and work in my studio.  I connect you with everyone I know and don’t know if desired. We go from there.  You take care of your own finances to get here and away and contribute to shared expenses if any.  I don’t offer any funding and I am not an organization, nor do I have any desire to be. The less bureaucracy the better. I may be able to raise money for this one day, but for now, we are on our own nickels so to speak.

As an artist in residence, you will automatically become part of the CollabArt Network and publish work on this site as well as others.
